COMMUNITY SERVICE
Helping Sharon Grow and Thrive
I have a lifelong track record of serving my neighborhood and the community . This started for me at a young age when I was elected a member of the Executive Committee of my local neighborhood association in Boston -- while in high school and served a one-year term before going to college. This sparked a lifelong commitment to serve as a volunteer 'community trustee' to drive smart use of our resources, ensure policies make sense for our community and advocate for change so all of us can succeed.
In Sharon, I am pleased to find many ways of contributing to Sharon through elected positions on the Planning Board (Vice Chair) and the Sharon Housing Authority, and appointed positions on Municipal Solar Oversight Committee and the Economic Development Committee.
I was the 2023 Chair of Sustainable Sharon Coalition's Green Day event, the first time it was held post-COVID .

SOLAR POWER
Cleaner Energy that Makes $ for Sharon
I am an active member of the Municipal Solar Oversight Committee. That's a lengthy title, but our objective is simple: ensure that town solar projects are launched well, on time and with input and alignment from neighboring residents and businesses. My proudest accomplishment is working with our neighbors on Azalea Drive and the project developer to implement a strong vegetation mitigation plan to minimize the view of the solar installation from their homes and backyards.

PLANNING
Master plan, Zoning bylaw/ordinance changes, Subdivisions, Approval Not Required (ANR) plans, Site Plan Reviews/Approvals
I am an elected member of the Planning Board, currently elected as Vice Chair by my colleagues.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Helping Sharon Grow and Diversify Our Town Revenue
I am an appointed member of the revitalized Sharon Economic Development Committee. I believe I have been both effective and thoughtful in my efforts to help drive increased economic activity. I see great potential for economic development here -- we will achieve this with a real action plan linked to what stakeholders agree on -- residents, existing and new businesses, town leaders, and owners of commercial real estate.

What can we do to bring great businesses to fill the empty storefronts in Post Office Square?
The residential tax burden is growing too fast without anything new to offset what we contribute as homeowners.
We also need to help our seniors and long-term residents stay in Sharon and continue to contribute economically and socially to the town.

HOUSING
Providing Low-Income Housing to the Public
You elected me to represent you on the Sharon Housing Authority board. We provide financial oversight to ensure your tax dollars are optimally spent to help house those who need support.

EDUCATION
Selecting New Superintendent for Sharon Public Schools
We have so many incredible parent and family volunteers in and for our schools and I was thrilled to have a chance to contribute too. As your parent representative on the Superintendent Search Committee, I focused on bringing school families' perspectives and concerns to the long but collaborative Superintendent search process in 2021.
